Every Cuero Artisan piece begins the same way: as a full hide, inspected by hand before a single cut is made. Our workshop is based in Pakistan, a region with a long tradition of leatherworking, and we lean on that generations-deep skill rather than replacing it with machinery wherever we can.
Once a hide passes inspection, our pattern cutters mark and cut each panel individually. For belts, that means selecting the straightest, most consistent part of the hide so the strap keeps its shape for years. For wallets, it means choosing softer sections that will fold cleanly without cracking.
From there, our stitchers get to work. Edges are burnished and dyed by hand, stitching lines are set and sewn one at a time, and hardware such as buckles and snaps is fitted and tested before anything moves on. It is slower than mass production, but it is also the only way we know to keep the quality consistent piece after piece.
